Alternative Iceland

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Recently spent a week in Iceland on a ‘DIY’ photo tour organised by my friend James Lawrence – unlike many of the professionally led tours we had the freedom to look beyond the landscape and seek out some of the alternative photographic opportunities this stunning country has to offer. These ranged from derelict shipyards, abandoned buildings and vehicles, the urban backstreets of Reykjavik and other smaller towns and even the power lines can be made to look interesting. The6h3a7418 unique landscape was certainly not ignored but hopefully we also managed to capture some alternative images. Will be going again next year – probably to the north and west of the island to escape the increasing tourist numbers in the South.
